SUMMARY:Mercy Meals Food Packaging
DESCRIPTION:Holy Cross is sponsoring a food packaging event with Mercy Meals of Lincoln. The event is March 7 from 10 a.m.-Noon and will be held at the Mercy Meals/Orphan Grain Train Warehouse 1901 SW 6th Street: Suite #1. We will need at least 20 volunteers. We can have up to 40 volunteers.  Signup sheets are available in the narthex.     \nMercy Meals consist of rice\, beans and other grains sourced in the Midwest. Volunteers package the food for shipment worldwide. The new packaging location provides more space and include new equipment for sealing packages. \nMercy Meals buys in bulk or at a discount to keep costs low. With volunteer help\, each meal can be produced for just 17 cents.
